Mission Statement

British Columbia Thespians Mission Statement

The British Columbia Thespians is the provincial chapter of the International Thespians Society, which is an honor society for theatre students and a division of the Educational Theatre Association. B.C Thespians support teachers and their students across the province by providing a variety of learning opportunities and advocating for quality theatrical arts education.

The Educational Theatre Association (EdTA)

Our parent organization, The Educational Theatre Association (EdTA), is a nonprofit organization who's mission is promote theatre education by honoring student achievement in theatre and enriching their theatre education experience; supporting teachers by providing professional development, networking opportunities, resources; and influencing public opinion that theatre education is essential and builds life skills.
