RENEW. REBUILD. REIMAGINE.
OCTOBER 21st & 22nd 2022

LIVE & INTERACTIVE OVER ZOOM
WITH IN PERSON BC HUBS IN VICTORIA & METRO VANCOUVER

Picture
BC Thespians Drama Teachers’ Conference is now collaborating with the other Provincial and Territorial EdTA Chapters Across Canada and also teachers' associations from Manitoba, Saskatchewan, Quebec and Newfoundland creating our new...
Canadian National Drama Teachers' Conference

Last year we had 160 drama teachers from accross Canada join us with 80 BC Drama Teachers! This year is going to be even bigger and even better!

You’re about to embark on the 2022-2023 school year. Your creativity, resilience, and innovative thinking grew stronger by living through adversity in 2021-2022. Let's explore the valuable lessons coming out of a few universally tough years and channel your experiences into relevant classroom sessions for your students.

Join other passionate educators just like yourself at the 2022 EdTA National Conference as we "RENEW. REBUILD. REIMAGINE.". This live-virtual conference format is affordable, easy to access, and flexible. It is two days of material for the price of one!! We will also have in person conference HUB's in Victoria BC, Vancouver BC, Montreal Quebec and Rothesay New Brunswick on Friday Oct 21st for teachers that want to gather together in person again. On that Friday there will be live in person workshops and hybrid elements that tie into the programming that will also be taking place over zoom that day. Then on Saturday we will be live over zoom for everyone! We will have some of Canada's finest educational theatre minds and worldwide leaders in the field leading workshops, keynotes, panel discussions and even theatre trivia!

You'll gain wisdom to share with your students on topics from the social justice movement to the emerging needs of our educational theatre programs after two years of Covid disruptions. You and like-minded attendees will envision a new future for school theatre and begin rebuilding your programs in collaborative workshops!

You'll start your school year off right with:
  • Inspiring messages from today’s leading voices in education
  • Interactive workshops with advice you can put into action right away
  • Clear guidance for moving your program forward in the new normal of school theatre
  • Must-try product demos of tools and services that help you and help your students
  • Take workshops and network with drama teachers from your home district and from across Canada

You'll walk away with practical solutions and ideas you can put into place this school year.
***After the event, you will be emailed a receipt that can be used for reimbursement within your school district, following their various professional development reimbursement policies.
