Guiding Principles:

Autonomy of Teacher Choice - We want to give you the teacher autonomy of choice in your Pro-D Experience. You can travel to one of our Provincial Conference HUBS at the Richmond Gateway Theatre in Metro Vancouver or Lambrick Park Secondary in Victoria BC for outstanding community and networking. If you are in a different part of BC and do not want to travel then you can join us on Zoom and get amazing training with the convenience of learning from home or from your very own school. Then on Saturday we all have the option to learn from live interactive zoom workshops with some of Canada and North America's best educational theatre minds!

Fair Pricing that respects all teachers - We are a non-profit made up of drama teachers for drama teachers and we have purposely chosen to run a conference that is priced in a way that honours you the educator by not charging above or beyond what a typical annual pro-d reimbursement budget will allow (so nothing is coming out of your pocket). Our conference is also affordable for pre-service teachers who do not have a way to be reimbursed yet. We also treat all teachers equally in our pricing no matter if you teach in a public school, a private school or a TYA youth company. Make your pro-d dollar go further without sacrificing a quality conference experience!

How can we do it?
We can keep our conference pricing low becuase our conference coordinators elect not to pay themselves an honourarium to do this important work and no money raised is transfered out of the Educational Theatre community into other organizations. That makes a big difference! Also our amazing local and international sponsors help support our BC Educational Theatre Community and we are thankful for that support.
